The most magical time of the year ~London Christmas Lights~

Christmas is London's most beautiful time of year, with more than 20 locations across the city lighting up in mid-November, and even after the New Year you can see the wonderful Christmas lights. The whole city is in a festive mood, and as you walk down the streets, you will see sparkling lights and winter decorations. It is very elaborate, beautiful and impressive. I could not visit all of the places, but I would like to share with you a little bit of this gorgeous London♡

Covent Garden

55 feet tall Christmas tree at Covent Garden. This humungous tress is festooned with 30,000 lights and giant baubles. Covent Garden is a lovely area and a popular tourist spot, with various pop-ups and decorations everywhere on a regular basis.

The light from the spotlights are reflected on the mirror balls so that the light is reflected the whole area.

Hey’s Gallery

Near the Tower Bridge. This place is also decorated with a huge tree every year. It is very impressive.

Natural History Museum Ice Rink

I only had daytime photos, but at night the rink and trees are lit up to create a magical atmosphere. I had been dreaming to skate in front of this museum since three years ago, and it came true finally this month. I was focused on not falling that I didn't have time to really enjoy the atmosphere, but I thought it was nice to make dreams come true one by one. I would recommend skating here at night rather than during the day!

Regend Street

The best way to see the Christmas lights in London is to see the Angel. This is the most beautiful Christmas light-up in London, but it's nothing compared to the real thing. The street is lined with massive white buildings and has a very European feel to it. The street is adorned with angels from one end to the other. When I came to London three years ago, I went here first because I wanted to see this illumination for myself. When I first saw it, I was so taken with it that I didn't want to move from here.

Oxford Street

This year, the illumination looks like stars spilling out of the sky. This is also a shopping street, with department stores and shops lining the street. Selfridges, the department store on the left hand side of the street, is lit up all over the walls. The dazzling lights make you feel the energy of the city and make you feel like walking around.

Fortnum & Mason

Fornum & Mason is a favourite of the Japanese too, not only for its tea but also for its chocolate and shortbread. This is the central spiral staircase. It's very crowded, but upstairs you can enjoy afternoon tea with live piano music.

Old Bond Street

From here, you will enter a street full of luxury brands. This one has a peafowl motif. It is elegantly decorated with giant feather lights.

I don't come here regularly, so I don't know if the shops are always lit up like this or just at Christmas, but it was a sparkling street.

New Bond Street

Cartier is wrapped in the red ribbon and the store looks magnificent. At 5pm, 6pm and 7pm, the light show starts with music.

Albemarle Street

This is a quiet place.

Harrods

At night, Harrods is lit up by 12,000 light bulbs every day.

Chanel No5 fragrance bottle at Harrods' Door 5. Standing at an impressive height of 15.5 meters.

These are the Christmas lights in London. It's the perfect time of year to visit London as it's just so exciting to walk around. See the overwhelmingly gaudy London Christmas lights, have lots of fun and enjoy Christmas in Britain!
